So you want to know the best of the best resources? Lucky for you, I have a couple that might be right up your alley!
All of these tools I have used at some point and loved for getting the job done. If you want to learn about tools to help you manage and GLAMR up your library marketing, then check out the first list. If you want to know how to manage your personal brand as a job hunter, check out the second list.
Resource | How to use it for Library Marketing |
Canva | I can carry my graphic design work with me using Canva, as it is a web-based platform. All the social media graphics, YouTube thumbnails and soundbites I create for my business I do with Canva. |
Davinci Resolve | This is a FREE video editing software that is on par with anything Adobe has to offer. I don’t think I will ever use anything else because Resolve beautifully covers audio control, colour correction and timelines all at once. |
GetResponse | Building an email list is hard but what drew me to GetResponse was the pain-free way they guided me through the process. Using GetResponse will triple your productivity and help you keep your patrons informed of all the cool stuff going on at your library. |
SocialBee | You will need something to help you manage and create social media content. That something is SocialBee. They cover all the major social media platforms (plus some you hadn’t thought of) and the feature I particularly love is the evergreen content feature. Have something that you are constantly promoting? Create one evergreen post in Socialbee and never have to worry about it again! |
The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today.

When you are looking for work a LinkedIn profile, a PUBLIC LinkedIn profile is a must.
